4-Rubby De La Rosa

Opposing Bumgarner in the opening game of the series is De La Rosa who was firing zeros the last time he took the mound at AT&T Park. On June 14th, he hurled eight shutout innings, allowing eight hits and two walks while striking out six in a 4-0 D-backs’ victory. His other two outings against San Francisco came in April and weren’t so hot. De La Rosa gave up ten runs (nine earned) in only 12 innings on 17 hits and four walks. He also last pitched on September 12th and his outing wasn’t nearly as sterling as MadBum’s. Rubby departed in the third inning against the Dodgers, having surrendered six runs on nine hits.
