1-A.J. Pollock

Because of his torrid second half, Pollock has now assumed the club lead in batting average at .319. He is having one of the best overall offensive seasons in baseball. Leading Pollock’s impressive numbers are his 101 runs scored, which ranks second in the National League and fourth in the entire sport. He has a total of 59 extra base hits, comprised of 35 doubles, six triples and 17 home runs. He plays outstanding defense as this catch from Friday night will attest. You can argue that Pollock has been the third best player at his position behind Mike Trout and Andrew McCutchen.
