The numbers are 3, 3 and 1. That’s what Pollock needs to reach 40 doubles (37), 40 stolen bases (37) and 20 home runs (19), making him the only player in the Majors to reach all three milestones in the same season. You could make the argument that it is Pollock who has been the team’s MVP as he has gotten better down the stretch hitting.351 over the last two weeks. Pollock leads the club in steals and in hitting with a .318 average. He has also played Gold Glove-caliber defense in center field. If the D-backs can sign him to an extension in the offfseason and with Goldy under contract for the next four seasons the team will have one of the most potent offensive combinations for years to come.
