2-Socrates Brito

With David Peralta potentially sidelined for the entire series, it is possible the 23-year old Brito gets more opportunities to shine. After Peralta injured his wrist last night, Brito came off the bench to go 3 for 3 with a triple as the D-backs came from behind to beat the Rockies by a score of 8-6. He now has nine hits in 21 at-bats since being promoted on September 8th. I wrote about him earlier this week determining whether or not he would make the D-backs out of Spring Training next year. An impressive performance this weekend will help his case. It is hard to imagine the lefty-swinging Brito starting tonight; however, don’t be surprised to see him as the first bat off the bench against the righties in the Houston bullpen.
