For Goldschmidt, this is his second Gold Glove award. Picking him was perhaps the easiest choice for voters when it came to the Gold Glove at first base.

On the season, Goldschmidt was tied for first in field percentage, had the highest defensive WAR among first baseman and he also did an outstanding job turning two, as he finished off the most double plays in the league.

For A.J. Pollock, there was no doubt 2015 was his breakout season. He made his first All-Star appearance and now he has another accolade with his Gold Glove.

He had the highest defensive WAR at the center field position and made highlight reel catches all season long, which further solidified him as one of the top players defensively in the league. Between his glove and his bat, he emerged as one of the new superstars in the game.

The Diamondbacks improved success in 2015 can be attributed to a lot of things. One of those things playing a major factor, was tremendous defense. Going forward, the defense is set with Pollock and Goldschmidt in the lineup for many years to come.
