Players to Watch + Series Prediction

Look for Jean Segura to continue his hot start. He has a nine game hitting streak against the Pirates (.375, 15-for-40).

Paul Goldschmidt has had a nice track record against the Pirates, and is a career .353 hitter off Nicasio with a home run and five RBIs in 17 at-bats. Goldy also has three RBIs against Niese, and Chris Owings who rakes against southpaws has hit .400 in five at-bats off Niese.

Starling Marte (.349), Andrew McCutchen (.331), and Gregory Polanco (.304) have combined to bat .331 (98-for-296) in their career’s against the Diamondbacks.

I think the D-backs will keep the momentum going and take two of three against the Pirates.
