Players to Watch:

When the D-backs take on the Rockies, the first player people think of is Paul Goldschmidt. Goldschmidt has reached base safely in 38 consecutive games against Colorado. David Peralta went 5-for-14 (.357) in the opening series, Jean Segura went 6-for-14 (.429), and Nick Ahmed who has struggled as of late went 6-for-11 (.545). Maybe Chip will have him back in the ninth spot where he has thrived.

Trevor Story and Nolan Arenado are the obvious names to watch for with the Rockies, but Carlos Gonzalez is the top name to watch for me. He has great numbers off Robbie Ray, and Shelby Miller, but the big matchup of the series is Gonzalez vs. Greinke. In 25 career at-bats he is hitting .320 with 4 home runs and 5 RBI’s.
