Thursday: Johnny Cueto (4-1, 3.02 ERA) vs. Zack Greinke (3-2, 5.15 ERA)
Friday: Jeff Samardzija (4-2, 3.17 ERA) vs. Shelby Miller (1-3, 7.36 ERA)
Saturday: Jake Peavy (1-4, 8.47 ERA) vs. Patrick Corbin (1-3, 4.12 ERA)
Sunday: Matt Cain (0-5, 6.69 ERA) vs. Rubby De La Rosa (4-4, 3.93 ERA)
This is going to be a very fun series to watch– especially with only one game separating the two teams.
Throughout his career, Miller has kept San Francisco’s biggest sluggers at bay. Against him, Brandon Belt and Hunter Pence own a .083 batting average, Buster Posey a .100, and Denard Span a .188. Among batters on the Giants roster with at least ten at-bats against the young Miller, Brandon Crawford leads the team with an adequate .250 batting average. With such statistics working in his favor, Arizona hopes Miller can use his previous dominance against San Francisco to turn his season around.
