Five players who need to step up in David Peralta’s absence

The Diamondbacks suffered a big blow at a bad time this weekend when they placed David Peralta on the DL with a wrist injury. Peralta had only been producing at replacement-level this season, with a .260/.321/.439 with three homers and 12 RBI this season, but it’s still a loss of a big name in the midst of a long losing streak.

Peralta is eligible to come back on May 24, but it remains unclear if he’ll be ready then. So in the meantime, they’ll need some guys to step their game up. Here are five guys who must do just that:
