Players to Watch
Intriguing young Miami players like Fernandez, Ozuna, and Yelich all have a legitimate chance at cracking the National League All-Star roster, so be sure to be on the lookout for them. However, X-factors in this series could be their catcher, J.T. Realmuto, and veteran platoon-player, Ichiro Suzuki. They’ve hit .421 and .381 in their last seven games, respectively.
For the Diamondbacks, keep an eye on Paul Goldschmidt. His bat has finally come around and he just might be #ASGWorthy, too. David Peralta, newly reinstitated from the DL, will undoubtably play a big role in the series, as well. Look for Michael Bourn, who is batting just .105 in his last nineteen at-bats with nine strikeouts, to lose playing time this series with Peralta back and two lefties going against them.
