Probables:

Monday: Luis Perdomo (2-3, 8.49) vs. Archie Bradley (3-3, 4.50)

Tuesday: Christian Friedrich (4-3, 3.96) vs. TBD

Wednesday: Colin Rea (5-3, 4.79) vs. Shelby Miller (2-8, 6.85)

Let’s not get carried away, neither team is throwing a Zack Greinke-type ace out there this series. However, there is some definite potential in this series for the D-Backs to show off their young guns. Bradley, a former seventh overall draft pick, has seemed to come into his own. He has allowed three earned runs or less in his past three starts. He and Shelby Miller—even if not this year, will be a definite cog in the Arizona machine as the franchise moves forward.

As for San Diego, Colin Rea has strung together a couple of good starts for the Padres. Most recently, Rea held the Yankees to just one earned run across six innings.
