Class A Full season: Kane County Cougars

Kane County did the worst of the Minor League affiliates going just two and five last week. The team is now 11.5 games back in the division currently but this does not matter as much seeing as the Cougars are already in the playoffs thanks to the fact that they won the first half of the season.

The biggest margin of victory for the team was a 9-1 win for the Cougars over the Cedar Rapids Kernels. What helped them do this was the increasingly rare complete game pitching performance by their starter Connor Grey who has a 2-1 record for the Cougars and was tearing up in Hillsboro for a good portion of the year as well. During the game, Grey gave up a run on only four hits. The only run came off of a Homerun given up in the fifth inning while they were up by seven.
