Number 5: Patrick Corbin’s 7 innings
Back before it even could of begin to be considered a streak Patrick Corbin had decided to pitch like an ace.
On Sunday, August 27th, Patrick Corbin took the mound against the San Francisco Giants.
While most people expected an okay outing from Corbin in the back end of the Diamondbacks rotation, no one could have predicted what came next.
Corbin threw for seven innings racked up eight strikeouts and only allowed six base runners.
For a player with a 3.91 ERA at the time, it was amazing to believe that he was able to go seven innings without giving up a single run.
He is currently 5-0 in his last five games with 0.50 ERA.
