Game 2: Taijuan Walker vs. Dillon Peters
Taijuan Walker will be looking to rebound from the loss he took in his last start. After going 3-0 in previous starts, Walker gave up four runs in five innings at AT&T Park.
But, the Marlins should be careful with starter Dillon Peters. Not only was Peters chewed up and spit out by the surging Milwaukee Brewers in his last start, but he has issued 12 walks in four starts.
The Arizona Diamondbacks offense battles in at-bats and can draw a lot of walks from Peters. But, the rookie has only been in the league for three weeks, so the team has no experience with what he’s throwing.
Peters is still looking for his first career win and with a 5.40 ERA, it is unlikely he will find it against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field.
