For the final series of the regular season, the Arizona Diamondbacks will test a few last lineup and rotation changes in Kansas City.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will wrap up the season, and interleague play, against the Kansas City Royals, who have been mathematically eliminated from the postseason.

With home field advantage for the National League Wild Card game, the Diamondbacks are just working out a few lineup kinks and trying to keep the ball rolling behind the hot-hitting J.D. Martinez.

However, this weekend will also determine the Diamondbacks’ opponent in the Wild Card, as the Colorado Rockies have not quite clinched that spot yet.

Nolan Arenado and the Rockies are desperately trying to hold off the St. Louis Cardinals, who are just two games back. The Cardinals face the eliminated Milwaukee Brewers this weekend as the Rockies will host the division-winning Los Angeles Dodgers.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Diamondbacks will see final regular-season performances from their leading starters heading into the postseason.
