The A.L. Wild Card game was a bullpen showdown with an offensive sideshow. I don’t think the N.L. game will be quite as wild, and definitely not as long, but I do think Zack Greinke will get into trouble.

My prediction is that Greinke will work himself into trouble in the third inning and Lovullo will (hopefully) go to Robbie Ray out of the bullpen.

Ray will pitch three shutdown innings, followed by Archie Bradley throwing two out of the bullpen and Fernando Rodney getting the save.

This is a total of four pitchers in nine innings, where the A.L. teams used five and six each. But, it leads into my second prediction.
