LAD: Yasiel Puig (3.7 bWAR)

ARI: J.D. Martinez (2.6 bWAR)

This is one position where bWAR is wrong in my opinion.

Yes, Yasiel Puig has had a great bounce back season for the Dodgers, and his cannon for an arm makes him a better defender in right field.

But, you cannot say enough about Martinez’s impact with the Diamondbacks. He has been worth more than 2.6 wins above replacement since coming over from the Detroit Tigers before the trade deadline.

Edge: Diamondbacks
