Arizona Diamondbacks: Handing out hardware for the 2017 season

Biggest Disappointment: Yasmany Tomas
It is hard to talk about anything negative with the 2017 Diamondbacks, but someone has to win this award.
Yasmany Tomas was an obvious disappointment. Sure, both Chris Owings and Nick Ahmed missed significant time with injuries on the 60-day disabled list, but Tomas’ contract and past performance makes him the best candidate for this dubious honor.
Tomas was limited to 47 games. He hit well with RISP and at Chase Field. Tomas also had a better season in the field. But since signing a 6-year, $68.5 million dollar contract in December 2014, Tomas has been a negative win player (-2.2 WAR) and has easily turned into one of the worst contracts in franchise history.
If there is a way to trade him to an American League team, even if that means taking on a large piece of his contract, the D-backs should jump at the chance.
