Arizona Diamondbacks 10 Highest Paid Players in 2018
By Josh Burke

#10 Robbie Ray – $3.95 Million in 2018 ($3,950,000 Million AAV)
Robbie Ray is one of Scooby-Doo’s favorite Arizona Diamondbacks player names to say. Not only that, but last year he had by far his best season yet as a pro.
Ray pitched to a 2.89 ERA, holding opposing hitters to a meek .199 batting average against, and threw 218 strikeouts for the second year in a row. It’s no mystery that his increased use of the four-seam fastball led to the breakthrough.
After flipping his 2016 win-loss record of 8-15 to 15-5 last season, Robbie Ray lined himself up nicely for a raise from the $570,400 he earned in 2017. At 26 years old, the left-handed starter will earn a hair under $4 million this year and be eligible for arbitration for two more years.
