Arizona Diamondbacks 10 Highest Paid Players in 2018

#5 Patrick Corbin – $7.5 Million in 2018 ($7,500,000 Million AAV)
Patrick Corbin is one of only two players on this list who will be free agents after the season ends without having to be non-tendered by the club. Avoiding arbitration, Corbin signed for a modest amount for a starting pitcher, but still an amount substantial enough that Arizona would consider moving him.
The D-backs could use, at the least, a dazzling fourth outfielder to join forces with their current group. In a best-case scenario, Arizona could completely upgrade one their outfield options like they did when they rented J.D. Martinez last summer.
Interested parties such as the Milwaukee Brewers have inquired. Corbin appears available, but the Diamondbacks should be in no rush to move him, yet. As long Shelby Miller is on the shelf, Corbin will be relied upon to provide steady innings. A desperate offer from a team like Milwaukee could leave Arizona’s GM Mike Hazen no choice but to part with the 28-year-old lefty, though.
