The Diamondbacks head to Philadelphia to take on the Phillies Thursday
The Diamondbacks don’t have to travel far after they finish Wednesday’s game vs the Pirates. That’s because their next stop on this three-city road-trip is located in the same state. This is the second time this season that the Dbacks will be facing Archie Bradley and the Phillies.
The first time occurred just last week when the Dbacks swept the Phillies over a three-game series. You can read the full recap right here. The Phillies were dealt a critical blow to their division standings after that three-game series. They left the series 4 games back of the Braves for 1st place. Roughly a week later and they are now 4.5 games behind the Braves. The Diamondbacks will seek to extend that even further and create chaos amongst the playoff-contending teams.

The Phillies have been struggling since the first game against the Dbacks. In their past ten games, they are 3-7. That’s not going to get you into the playoffs.
Meanwhile the Dbacks have a record that I do not even want to repeat. It’s that bad. Alas, here are the starters and any meaningful batting stats for the 4-game series…
