Arizona Diamondbacks Trim Roster for Australia

Before departing for Australia, the Arizona Diamondbacks made some more transactions to lighten their cargo. The following players have been reassigned elsewhere in the organization or like one player, returned to their previous one.
Pitcher Joe Paterson was sent to Triple A Reno. Pitcher Marcos Mateo, selected in the Rule 5 Draft, we sent back to the Chicago Cubs’ organization.
The following players were assigned to the D’backs’ Minor League Camp: Catcher Blake Lalli, first baseman Mike Jacobs, infielder Andy Marte and outfielder Shelley Duncan
