So the mourning period for the Arizona Diamondbacks 2011 season is over. Ok, so we haven’t finished this postseason yet, however for the Dbacks it is never too early to start looking ahead to 2012, especially since the season starts in like 18 seconds. It’s a short off-season. We are just shy of four months till pitchers and catchers report. So it is time to review the current roster, look at what they did in 2011 and what the prospects are for 2012. Next up: Miguel Montero
2011 review: Montero hit .282 with 18 home runs and 86 RBI, that’s great production from the catcher position. Hands down one of the best catchers this season offensively. Defensively was a liability at times, however his handling of the pitching staff was bar none one of the best in the game in my opinion.
2012 preview: I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want more, but why not? I think he left several homers and a couple dozen RBI at least out there on the field. Maybe he improves in 2012 but if he produces just as well in 2011, I’ll take it. A possible 25-100 guy.
