Diamondback Christmas Wish List

Please, Gibby, use the same lineup for more than two consecutive days. Credit: Richard Mackson-USA TODAY Sports

It is hard to believe that Christmas is upon us. Time sure has flown during the last half of 2013. I mean, we are already at the final week of the NFL season. Since jolly ol’ St. Nick is almost here, I guess I should make know to him by Christmas wish list for the Arizona Diamondbacks. I am not sure what kind of fan Santa is but he is probably partial to those teams in northern locales like Minnesota and Milwaukee. Well, I hope he has enough in his bag to grant me some tiny favors as we gear up for the 2014 season.

-I wish for Kirk Gibson to use the same lineup (maybe with one flip-flop or substitution) for an entire week.

-I wish for the D’backs NOT to lead the world in blown saves.

-I wish for Paul Goldschmidt to win the National League MVP.

-When watching games, I wish for there to be less shots of the concourse, Plinko Board and all other forms of casino games at Chase Field.

-I wish that Archie Bradley could make his Major League debut near the end of June (my birthday).

-Ditto for Jake Barrett.

-I wish the shortstop situation will be settled by Opening Day.

-I wish for a speedy recovery by Cody Ross.

-I wish for Masahiro Tanaka. If that doesn’t work, I wish for Bronson Arroyo.

-If neither of those guys get signed, I wish for nobody else.

-I wish that March 22nd would get here more quickly.

-I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for reading this and all of the posts here at venomstrikes.com.
