Thank goodness the losing streak is over. The Diamondbacks snapped their 6 game losing streak in the weirdest of ways last night at Dodger Stadium 4-2 over the evil empire. But hey I will take a win in anyway we can get it, that victory last night was truly the definition of a team effort. One thing that I saw in the game last night that  was an encouraging sign was the performances of Trevor Cahill and Randall Delgado out of the bullpen. Joe Thatcher probably had the best performance of the night lasting longer than he normally does and getting out of trouble in extras, but Delgado and Cahill’s performances were very good signs. Both were demoted out of the rotation to the bullpen after struggling mightily in the rotation, and have essentially become the new long men in the pen replacing Josh Collmenter who was moved to the rotation. Cahill had a one two three twelfth inning for his first save and to me based on his demeanor he just looked more comfortable in that role. His fastball velocity was hitting the mid 90’s consistently. Delgado meanwhile has looked great in the pen and his velocity is also staying in the mid 90’s. Dbacks fans have to remember when Josh Collmenter moved from the rotation to the bullpen after struggling and how valuable he was. Delgado and Cahill might turn into valuable assets out of the pen while Collmenter is needed in the rotation. Here is all the need to know info for game 2:
