Despite struggling out of the gate the Diamondbacks are starting to trend in the right direction. In their last 10 games, the Snakes are 6-4 and have won three games in a row. Despite being 3-15 at home which is bound to improve here soon the Dbacks are 8-7 on the road. The turnaround of late has been do to the turnaround of the starting rotation. Despite acquiring Bronson Arroyo in the offseason, losing ace Patrick Corbin really dealt a huge blow to the morale and confidence of the rotation and is partly the reason why this rotation has struggled. Also you cant discount the fact that Dbacks starters have given up alot of walks and alot of home runs which is not a good combination. Now they are starting to turn it around. Bronson Arroyo pitched seven shutout innings on Friday and Brandon McCarthy did the same on Saturday and before the ninth inning, Dbacks pitching as a whole hadn’t allowed a run in 24 consecutive innings dating back to Wednesday’s game. Starters are turning in more quality starts and the starters era has been lowered to 5.81. Now its up to Wade Miley to keep the good times rolling. Here is the need to know info for game 3 as the Dbacks go for the series sweep:
