Bob Nightengale of the USA Today says the Diamondbacks are on the verge of agreeing to send Montero to the Cubs, and the deal should be done by the end of the day.

Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reported the first pitcher coming back to the Diamondbacks in the deal:
Hearing one of the pitchers Dbacks will receive in a Montero trade is Jefferson Mejia.
