Morning Links: James Shields In Sedona Red?

Good Morning Diamondbacks fans! I’m up earlier than I usually am, so I thought I would give you a dose of what’s going on with the Diamondbacks and around the MLB.

After a quiet part of the offseason where nothing was really happening, the hot stove is heating up again, and rumors are picking up, as the Dbacks try to make some big late additions to improve this team for 2015.

Fox Sports Jon Morosi and Ken Rosenthal reported that the Diamondbacks are still in the mix for free agent ace James Shields, and that his market is no longer in the $100 million dollar range.

Considering we haven’t heard to many teams that are in on Shields, I’m optimistic that the Dbacks are still being mentioned.

The Diamondbacks also made another splash on the international free agent market signing young RHP Yoan Lopez to the largest signing bonus for an international free agent amateur.

As Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com notes, the Dbacks will have the most money to spend during the next international period.

Dave Stewart also mentioned that he doesn’t plan on pursuing another catcher despite the glaring need for one.

On that note, here are your morning links!
