How you can watch the Spring Breakout game between the Diamondbacks and Royals' top prospects.

The Arizona Diamondbacks' top prospects will take on the Kansas City Royals' top prospects as part of the Spring Breakout series at Salt River Fields tonight, with first pitch set for 5:10 P.M. MST. The game will allow fans to get an early look at some of the Diamondbacks' best prospects right before they hit the major leagues. Last year, Arizona defeated the Colorado Rockies 3-1 in the inaugural year of Spring Breakout.

How to Watch: Diamondbacks vs Royals Spring Breakout game

The game can be watched on either MLB.com live stream or MLB.tv. Additionally, the game can be followed on MLB Game Day or the MLB App for pitch-by-pitch data.

The game will also include Statcast pitch and batted ball data along with the ABS challenge system. MLB has been testing ABS this spring and see if it can be ready for the 2026 season. Last year, the Diamondbacks won two challenges in a critical spot.

Notable prospects playing

The top 10 prospects from the Diamondbacks' system according to MLB expected to play include Demetrio Crisantes (No. 2), Slade Caldwell (No. 3), Ryan Waldschmidt (No. 6), Druw Jones (No. 7), Tommy Troy (No. 8), Jansel Luis (No. 9), and LuJames Groover (No. 10). Prospects expected to pitch include Daniel Eagen (No. 16), Yordin Chalas (No. 17), Spencer Giesting (No. 18), and Dylan Ray (No. 20).

Some of the top prospects not participating include Jordan Lawlar (No. 1), Yilber Diaz (No. 4), and Adrian Del Castillo (No. 5). Lawlar and Del Castillo are still in big league camp and Diaz was recently optioned to Triple-A Reno.

Left-handed slugger Jac Caglianone highlights the Royals' Spring Breakout roster. MLB's No. 22 prospect was the No. 6 pick in the 2024 MLB Draft and set the Arizona Fall League ablaze in his debut season. Royals' No. 3/MLB No. 85 prospect Carter Jensen rounds out the Top 100 prospects participating.
