After a devastating walk-off loss in Game One of the World Series, the Arizona Diamondbacks hope to get back on track tonight and steal one of these games in Arlington before heading back home. It is not going to be easy, though, as Texas is going to be sending Jordan Montgomery to the hill. Fortunately for Arizona, their lineup showed signs of life last night and seem to have a good gameplan against how Texas is approaching them.

So far, the Diamondbacks have been able to keep up with this dangerous Rangers' offense. While Corey Seager, Evan Carter, and Adolis Garcia unfortunately did Seager, Carter and Garcia things, both Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte had key hits in the game with Tommy Pham and Alek Thomas chipping in as well. However, the lineup looks a little different with the lefty Montgomery on the mound.

If Merrill Kelly can duplicate his success from this postseason so far, Arizona is going to be in this game throughout his time on the mound. The only actual change from last night's lineup is that Ketel Marte will be leading off instead of Carroll. The Diamondbacks seem to prefer this arrangement against lefties given that Corbin is a lefty as well and made the same move against Ranger Suarez and Cristopher Sanchez in the NLCS.

Now down 1-0, the Diamondbacks cannot afford to let any opportunity pass them by especially against a tough starter. Working long at-bats, fouling off pitches, and cashing in runners that do manage to get on base is going to be of paramount importance. Win tonight and this is essentially a five game series where the Diamondbacks have home field advantage. Lose tonight, though, and all of sudden things look pretty grim and Arizona will have to hope that Brandon Pfaadt can save them at home.
