Happy Easter to the best fans in baseball, the Diamondbacks fans. Whether you celebrate Jesus' Resurrection, the Easter Bunny dropping eggs to find, or any other variation of Easter, I hope you're enjoying it with family and staying safe and healthy! The Diamondbacks are going for the series win, first of their year, Sunday morning at 10AM Arizona Time vs the New York Mets.

The Mets beat up on the Dbacks on Friday 10-3 before losing behind a great pitching performance from the Dbacks 3-2. Mark Melancon got his first save as a member of the Diamondbacks. Arizona's pushing to become 4-5. Seth Beer continued to hit going 3 for 3 with a run and walk. The team had 4 walks, though they did strike out a startling 16 times. That's not been the norm of late.

Ketel Marte is slowly getting hot with a few hits this series while Carson Kelly is still looking for his first hit this season. However, the bats are coming alive after a 9-hit game on Saturday. That will certainly help the team's .159 BABIP they had entering the game.

On the mound for the Snakes will be Humberto Castellanos who's making his first start this year after replacing Caleb Smith in the rotation. Look for Corbin Martin to potentially pitch behind Castellanos in case he isn't stretched out fully. No Mets' batters have faced Humberto yet.

As for the Mets? They have David Peterson starting on the mound for his first time this year after he came in as relief for former Dbacks starter Taijuan Walker who had to leave his first start with an injury. Ketel Marte is 1 for 1 with a HR and 2 RBI while Walker and Pavin Smith are a combined 3 for 3 with 1 RBI. Not bad. Both pitchers will be looking for their first win this year.

After Sunday's game, the Dbacks will be taking the train to D.C. to take on the Washington Nationals for the first time this year. Monday starts a new four-game series for the Snakes. They are on Day 2/3 of a 20-day/20 games stretch right now. Hopefully the Diamondbacks can make your Easter better with a win!

Happy Easter again and Let's Go Dbacks!
