The Seattle Mariners and Arizona Diamondbacks are set to throw down in a three-game interleague set over the weekend.

Logan Gilbert (3.88 ERA) will get the start for the Mariners tonight and he'll face-off against Tommy Henry (4.01 ERA) of the Diamondbacks.

The Diamondbacks have gone 3-7 in their last 10 games, which has caused them to fall 0.5 games back from a wild card spot. With that being said, only 1.0 games separates five teams in the NL Wild Card race.

That makes every game absolutely pivotal for the Diamondbacks the rest of the way out. Can they win tonight? I certainly think so.

Mariners vs. Diamondbacks prediction and pick

The fact the Diamondbacks are starting Henry tonight is great news for Arizona fans and bettors. It's not because of Henry's solid numbers this season, it's more the fact he's a left-handed pitcher.

The Mariners have struggled in a big way against lefties lately. Over the past 30 days, they rank 25th in the Majors in OPS against left-handed pitchers at just .642. They're also batting just .237 against lefties over that time frame.

Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks have an OPS of .727 against righties over that time span, so they should find some success against Logan Gilbert tonight.

I think the Diamondbacks are in a great spot as home underdogs tonight.
