This Diamondbacks team is hungry, exciting, and exceedingly dangerous when given an opening. You love to see it.

2023 World Series Game One: How to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks today (October 27)

Game One features a matchup between Diamondbacks ace Zac Gallen and the Rangers' Nathan Eovaldi who has pitched very well this postseason. The Diamondbacks will have to work some longer at-bat early and not let Eovaldi get in a groove if they are to have any chance of keeping pace with this Rangers' offense especially with Gallen looking a bit shaky at times lately.

Both teams start with a clean slate for the first game of the World Series. The last couple of off days have been sorely need for both teams as they both had to play seven game series in their respective LCS. Texas had to go through a murderer's row of strong AL teams including beating a Houston team in seven games despite not winning a single home game. Meanwhile, the Diamondbacks had to get a little bit lucky at the end of the season (thanks, Cubs) to even make it into the playoffs and are coming off a tough series against the Phillies in the NLCS.

Arizona has become accustomed to being the underdogs this postseason and this series is no exception as, on paper, the Rangers are probably favored by most outside observers. However, the Diamondbacks have some stars of their own in Gallen, Corbin Carroll, and Ketel Marte that give them more than a puncher's chance of being able to beat the odds one last time.
