Arizona Diamondbacks Morning Links: Ah Turner Field

facebooktwitterreddit

Good Morning Arizona Diamondbacks fans!

Our team is playing a lot of road games lately arent they! After coming home for a short 6 game stay at Chase Field in which they went 4-2, the Dbacks start yet another 10 game roadtrip beginning tonight against the Braves in Atlanta.

After 3 games against the Braves, the Dbacks will travel to PNC Park to take on one of the best team’s in baseball, the Pirates, and then they go to Cincinnati to take on the Reds, a team they just saw on the last homestand.

In case you didn’t know, the Braves play at Turner Field. This place has been kind to the Dbacks throughout the years.

Remember 2001 when the Dbacks beat the Yankees in the World Series! They clinched the NLCS that year at Turner Field.

2004 was a year to forget for the Snakes. The team complied its worst record in franchise history going 51-111 finishing in last place in the N.L. West.

The best moment of that season came at you guessed it Turner Field when Randy Johnson threw a perfect game on May 18th at the age of 40, surpassing CY Young as the oldest pitcher in MLB history to throw a perfect game. He threw his in 1904.

Lets hope the good vibes continue in Atlanta, and the Dbacks get their roadtrip off to a good start.

With that being said, here are your morning links!
