facebooktwitterreddit

This period on the MLB calendar is usually considered the dead point of the offseason because for teams like the Arizona Diamondbacks, nothing significant is going to happen until after the World Series ends.

With that in mind, we are all baseball fans, and even though the D-backs aren’t competing for a World Series title, October baseball and the drama that comes with it is always exciting.

Thor, Mets win Game 2 4-1, take 2-0 series lead over the Cubs in the NLCS-MLB.com

My Thoughts: The Mets have a better and deeper rotation than the Cubs and that is why they are winning this series. Matt Harvey was dominant in Game 1 and Noah Syndergaard followed up that performance with a dominating effort of his own. Jon Lester and Jake Arrieta weren’t.

Mets likely won’t face Jon Lester in Game 4Rising Apple

My Thoughts: This only serves the Mets well. Lester hasn’t been at his best this season or in October, but we have seen him perform his best when the lights are shining the brightest and when everything is on the line.

Matt Harvey’s triceps sore, still on track for Game 5-Rising Apple

My Thoughts: Harvey is going to have to pitch with pain because the Mets can’t afford not to start the Dark Knight. It’s non-negotiable at this point.

Key Factors for the Blue Jays in Game 3 of the ALCS-Jays Journal

My Thoughts: Marcus Stroman has to pitch well if the Jays are going to beat Johnny Cueto. Stroman says he is on a mission. Talk is cheap. His performance on the mound will have to do the talking.
