The Arizona Diamondbacks are starting to get healthier in their starting lineup and starting rotation. Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports posted the Diamondbacks' starting lineup and available pitchers on X. Corbin Carroll and Lourdes Gurriel Jr. are in the lineup and Jordan Montgomery is one of the pitchers set to throw against the Los Angeles Angels.

The fact that all three players are healthy enough to play in the game is an excellent sign for the Diamondbacks. The only possible bad news is if the weather, with rain all over the Phoenix area, causing the game to be cancelled and none of the players can get their necessary reps. Unfortunately, the game has been cancelled due to forecasted rain so all three will have to wait until another day to return to action.

Carroll left the game March 1 against the Texas Rangers with lower-back tightness but the injury ended up being minor. He took a couple of days off, then started swinging the bat again on Wednesday and Thursday. His return to the lineup is huge because Carroll had been hot in the spring, hitting .500 with three home runs. He's expected to play a key role at the top of the lineup and play every day in right field this season.

Montgomery has been slowed this spring with a left index finger injury. He'll still need to be ramped up for the regular season, as he's two turns behind everyone else in the rotation. He'll have a total of four spring outings before Opening Day. He's competing with Brandon Pfaadt and Ryne Nelson for the final spot in the starting rotation.

Gurriel was removed from Wednesday's game against the San Francisco Giants with left hamstring tightness. He had hit into a double play in his second at-bat, and with it being a Spring Training game, the Diamondbacks took him out of the game as a precaution. As a result, the team avoided a potential major injury situation. Gurriel is expected to share left field and the designated hitter role with Randal Grichuk.

It's unclear what the plan will be for the three players over the weekend. Arizona is going to have split squad games, with half the team going to Las Vegas to take on the Athletics. For Carroll and Gurriel, the plan is relatively straightforward as they can just go back in the lineup. For Montgomery, he may have to throw some sort of sim game or an extended bullpen to start the ramp-up process due to how tight the Spring Training schedule is for starting pitchers.
