The Arizona Diamondbacks and Miami Marlins are struggling.

More from Diamondbacks News

After getting swept by the lowly Philadelphia Phillies, the Diamondbacks head on down to Miami where they will take on the new look Miami Marlins, who just fired their manager and replaced him with the general manager.

Yesterday after a loss to the Braves, the Miami Marlins fired manager Mike Redmond. In return, they shocked people when they hired general manager Dan Jennings down from the front office.

A couple thousand miles or so to the north, the Diamondbacks were finishing off a disappointing weekend in Philadelphia, where the Phillies who are beat up and at the bottom of the NL East, made quick work of the Diamondbacks who are suddenly struggling mightily and are in very real danger of letting this season get away from them and quickly.

They will turn to Rubby De La Rosa to break the losing streak for the team. De La Rosa has been very good in his last two outings for Arizona. Both of those games against San Diego and Washington, the Diamondbacks provided De La Rosa with a ton of run support.

After hitting the first home run of his major league career, Yasmany Tomás is back in the lineup and at third base. He’s been a hitting machine and the Dbacks will need him to continue to be one if they’re going to break this downward streak that they are on.
